Halloween/BYU

So it has taken way to long to update this so I will catch up very fast. Sofi Beckett and I all routed on the Byu Cougars. At the football game this Nov. We tailgated had a blast and had a ton of fun cheer on the cougs. The score was to close for comfort but was some of the most fun I've had in a long time.



So Lots has happened since I updated this...Lots has happened. Rocky was a cute monkey/Bear for Halloween. It was actually a monkey but ended up looking more like a Bear. Beckett was a very handsome Cowboy and his friend Jake was a Lumberjack.

We had a fun time! and Can't wait for Celebrate Rocky's first Christmas!!

Our Goodbye to Benny and Hello to Sarah

The weekend of Conference was also the weekend of hello and goodbyes. We went and Rocky and I walked around the square in freezing weather and rain to see all the sites that the Temple had to offer. We really enjoyed it and tried to keep warm. The others were watching conference. BUT... while we walked around I ran into a very familiar face, Aunt Sarah appeared and we hugged and Rocky met her for the first time. She was the most beautiful sister he'd ever seen ;). He took lots of pictures! See below!


We also had to say goodbye to Uncle Benny at the airport Rocky was so sad that he couldn't even open his eyes. haha!





This is the last time Sarah and Ben will see each other for over 2 years. Nathan is trying to sneak into the picture.

While we were getting ready to get going had to make sure he was all bundled up.

We had lots of fun and we flew home and rocky was so awesome and did great on the flight. I just realized that the date was off on all the pictures. Dang! That's how I keep track of how old he was in the picture.

5 months and Farewells

There are a bunch of picture of us.

The last couple of weeks we have been getting Ben ready to leave on his mission. This weekend he went to Cimarron with Kim to say goodbye to Wynette the little boys and to Granny. She hasn't been doing good lately and we aren't really sure when she's going to come back down on Friday for Ben's endowment Wynette is going to watch Granny. Grandpa, Jon and all them hauled about 15 beams the past two weeks. With all the rain we've been getting and one of the Beams falling it has taken forever for all the loads to get off.




Work is going really well, I have found a new love for it. For a while as you know I have been feeling pretty bored and tired of it all but with me getting contracted with Medicare and with me working about 3 hours more a day I am feeling a new rejuvenation for my medical billing job.


Rocky is turning 5 months on the first and I cannot believe how fast time has flown by. He still is not rolling over but Beckett and I have decided that we need to start giving him more tummy time. Lately he hasn't been feeling very good and has been teething a lot and so he has been very cranky and crying and not sleeping very good. So I am getting up the most about 5-6 times a night. Last night Beckett got up 3 times to help me and that was really good. It really helped out a ton. We opened up a new account at moms bank because I hated New Mexico Educator and so I looked over at Rocky in his chair and for the first time saw him taking on his own look. I love that little boy.

We are now house sitting for the fullers until the middle of October and I worked for the Randalls a lot this past week so I was able to catch up on our bills and I am very happy about that I am trying really hard now to do better.

Birthday!

Yesterday was my 21st birthday. I had a absolutely wonderful time. I got to board games, the new trivial pursuit and loaded questions. I have recently become a huge! board game fan. Then Pat (my mother in law) watched Rocky while I had a wonderful time at dinner with my husband. Who got me a Steve Young action figure some candies and a wonderful card :).

Today was also a great day as far as my job goes. I finally after 2 looooong years got the office contracted with medicare. SUCCESS AND JOY!!

Also I took my son to the doctor and is weighs 16lbs and was 26'' long. He is in the 75th percentile for babies his age. Needless to say he is a big baby! :) He is starting to stand when you hold him eat cereal. Lately he has not been sleeping all that well so that has been hard but I am so happy to have him and to have my family. Beckett is an amazing husband he is doing really good at school. I am proud.

We sold our Lumina so we are using 1 car. It is going well. I prefer it actually I am getting up earlier and am working more hours at work which is well needed!

Bike Date

About a month ago beckett and I set out to find bikes and start riding them as a fun leisurely time date. Last Saturday we finally went on our first bike date. We road around UNM and I really had a good time and was surprisingly not sore after wards. Here are some pics









Here we are after a quick pit stop for a photo, it was around 9 o'clock so its dark outside, but we are at the duck pond where we went often, when we dated. It was how I feel for this hot guy!
These are pictues of our beach cruisers that we found on craigslist. All they needed were some tubes and we were ready to go. You can't tell but my bike is green. I am super happy. Vintage JC Higgins!


Here is beckett being a bad ass ;) on his bike. His needed a little more tlc but none the less we did it and off we went into the night.

After our bike ride we went to dinner at IHOP which was cheap and delicious! MMmmm... Can't wait for our next bike date. Now if only we could find a sitter....

Arizona

well a couple of weeks ago we went on our first family trip, we went to Arizona and stayed a couple of days with Maury and Connie Crandall and they took us down a canyon and a watering hole and we jumped in and had a lot of fun! I belly flopped off a 30ft cliff and really hurt myself and had bruises but we still had fun. After that we went to Gibert Az and spent some time with about 4 of Becketts mission buddies. Over all we had a really good time! Here are pictures from our trip

Rocky 3 months in the bath

A day away from 3 months....

Can you believe that my little blue eyed baby is a day away from 3 months! neither can I so much has happen this last month it makes me tear to think that the rest goes by just as fast, and at a blink of an eye I will be sending him off on a mission...like ben....

I finally got it on video my beautiful boy rolling over. Its not the best he's ever done...that big head got in he way but none the less it shows the roll.

Then Sunday was rocky's blessing and here is my handsome men posing for the camera. as we race to church, beckett also spoke that day and did an amazing job.

Now we just wait on Ben's Mission call about 1 more week ahhhh!!!...it makes me sad just thinking about it.

Roll over

Rocky rolled over on saturday but i haven't been able to catch him on video. I think it makes him nervous ;) but this is him attempting to this morning. At 2 months he is holding his head up so good. He is becoming quite the handsome fellow I think.

Rocky Taking A bath

The last few weeks!

we have been very busy the last couple of weekends, July 4th weekend we went to my grandparents house in Cimarron. We had lots of fun we went to there rodeo, and watched there fireworks. We went to the best restaurant up there. I don't remember the name but I had the best piece of steak I've ever had!!

Then last weekend of Friday we played scrabble with papa jim and colene and had the absolute best time! We always enjoy our friday nights with them. they love us so much and we try to give back to them as best we can. this coming friday I think we are going to go to the zoo music. We will for sure have a good time!!



Then saturday we went to Avery Crandalls birthday party and we had a great time. I love being friends with Maury and Connie!

time flies! part 2

I cannot believe how much love you can have for somethings so small. I love my son with all my heart and more then I thought possible to love. It brings everything in your life closer together. he spends a lot of time with nan and mamy his grandmas and spends the mornings with dad while I am away at work, I am able to bring him to work on days that I need to and that has made the transition really great! I cannot believe he is almost 8 weeks old.

p.s. Britta I am so sorry I was able to see you when you came into town, next time you come back to abq, we should get together and have lunch or we could have a double dinner with you and shay. I hope you had a good time though.

time flies!

I can't find my camera cord so I will just write a quick note:

He is getting so big! Friday will be 8 weeks! He is getting about 6oz a feeding now and is sleeping about 5hours straight at night, IN HIS CRIB! I am so thankful he is not in our bed anymore, that was rough.

I started work again and it has been really good, when I need I bring rocky and he sleeps in his car seat and I work work work til its time to go.

He will be blessed on the 5th of July. I cannot wait it will be a wonderful experience for us all.

my little boy is 1 month

It is so hard for me to believe that a month ago I was giving birth to my wonderful baby. He has already grown so much. He is very close if not right now already 10lbs! not to mention he is sleeping through the night. That is if he is in bed with me and Beckett, I am thinking he either doesn't like to be so far away or he doesn't like his mattress but Maury and Connie are giving us a co-sleeper so I'm hoping that will get us out of our bed. :)

Also Ben is already so grown up I thought I'd post his mission photo so you could see just how grown up he has become. I want to cry when I think in just 4 to 6 weeks he could have a mission call and be on a mission. I just don't want him to grow up when we were kids he was my best friend, but I know that he was bore to serve and nothing will stop him from doing that.
