Somethings I remember from my childhood with my mom.
1. on our way to church she use to pull out her little make up bottle that was in the cd holder in the front of our car (that was also used as a cup holder) and put it on while drying down the road.
2. you could scare her with this fake little lizard that was always in the dirt outside? why i'm not sure.
3. she would always sneak off some where with out telling you. (later you'd find out she went grocery shopping or when went out to eat)
4. she never answered the house phone, you always had to call grandmas house number to get a hold of her. (we were trying to get to go home from school "sick.") she would always suggest you try to push through it.
5. that she really had no idea what the 5 of us did in the background. (playing on the stacks of cement, the rebar, in the boat, playing with firer? you name it no clue.)
6. we would jump out of the car and look for change so "we" could have a drink from sonic..etc
7. dancing around the living room singing at the top of our lungs while "cleaning" before dad got home.
8. her yard is her 6th child
9. that mom always got what she wanted from dad...ALWAYS!
10. Lastly... that her and dad took us on the most awesome family vacations even though we vaguely remember some of the less exciting ones and that it cost them 100,000.00 that they are still paying for ... jk not really that much ;)

As kids the only thing that I can remember really celebrating was birthdays and Christmas so mothers days doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me, not even now that I am a mother I would say mostly because I know next month is fathers day and ill have to return the gesture which will be exhausting. (that I know I get that from my mom.)
But...I digress looking back at the two years I've been granted with being a mom I can not be more blessed even though it is exhausting, stressful, and hard. I don't know if I've become a better person or even if I could be mother of the year. But when my child runs to the door when I return from work and wants to immediately play with me a show me all his toys I know I must be doing something right. I love beck for always helping me through out it all and for rock for giving me something to laugh at.
Get ready for a montage!

I should of never introduced him to this cart. He eagle eyes it at smiths in the parking lot, or we run to where they keep the carts when we walk into the store.
